The origin of our POLITICAL training

Today through a personal experience I understood why our political system is over flowing with people who are complete useless crap. Its a training scribbled in our veins during the undergrad years which are basically the last grooming years in one's life.

Belonging to a university which has a history of producing politicians including Mushy, Cycle Elahi (the Chaudery cousins) etc & mind you that some more to be head aches for our country are in making.

The point of this post is not to wag on someone's victory but instead to wag on the hard fact that on one end we howl that our govt. should be strengthen the institutions of our country while on the other side we aren't groomed enough to even run a club based on social service without dirty street politics. And will go to any extremes to create hurdles in the establishment of a unit at such a small scale if personal benefits are not fulfilled.

So for those poor chaps who are looking for a brighter & enlightened future I will only suggest go find some place else.

"Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices"

This statement was mailed to me through the opinion polls of "mickey"(everyone should know what this is as Facebook does not come under the notion of rare comodity).

I am completely in agreement with it however there is a big "BUT" standing in the way. Nobody learns from the results. Neither the people involved nor the on-lookers.

Isn't our example of faliure over a span of 60 years a howling proof?

Crank Callers......WTF

My cell phone's directory always consists of some supersonic (that's the term I have bestowed on all those completely WALE good for nothing crank callers) contacts which I mark with a question- mark sign(?). They are a pain in the A** whether you attend the call or not. Who says the world's moving on a fast track? Those who are the believers of this phenomena should get in touch with these "supersonics" who have all the time in the world to make calls & send the most over-rated forward messages around the clock.

I have made a post for this topic shows the fact that this situation has touched the RED LINE;-@

Fruit for thought

"To go as a begger with empty hands, is to arouse scorn, not fellowship."

These are the words of Genghis Khan (The emperor of all men)

Applying this quote to the present situation of the Land of the Pure, what are we expecting from other countries. Friends of Pakistan, IMF & the list goes on & on. We'll have to correct our basics.

No Where To Go!!!!

The madness that surrounds us it slowly breaking the most hard core patriots; people who always stood by their stance that they'll never leave the land of pure on permanent bases no matter what. However they are breaking down as there is not even the slightest glimpse of bright light at the end of the tunnel.

No sense of security, peace, joy etc. Things which comprise of the basics of one's survival apart from the material basics of roti, kapra aur makan which no bloody govt. of ours has been able to provide.

Under such circumstances one feels like running away from his/her homeland.

However, the gravity of the situation is that we are not even safe outside our borders. Our identity of being a Pakistani makes us even more vulnerable in the so called more rich lands.

So in short we have no where to go. Our opportunity costs are incredibly low in both ways.

Nelson Mandela vs Asif Ali Zardari

It's hilarious that someone would want to term Asif Ali Zardari, NELSON MANDELA of Pakistan. He's not even equal to the dust of Mandela's shoes. Those who are responsible for this blunder, I guess just compared the number of years both of them were in prison but then in this case there is a marked difference. Zardari served 11 years & that too for the crimes he committed, though nobody in his camp accepts it, while Mr. Mandela was punished for his ideology by the oppressors of his country for 27 years.

Also, from behind the bars Nelson Mandela was able to keep alive the movement the Africans had started for their rights. He not only kept on with his studies but was an inspiration for the other prisoners to pursue with their education. On the other hand Zardari was just the burden on the party his wife was trying to run.

So how come anyone under the influence of sanity even consider these two men even slightly similar?

These are pictures of Lahore from a forward e-mail that I received today. As I love photography I was compelled to put them up. Although from the point of view of the art these pictures are extremely beautiful but they also represent the alarming level of congestion that the Zinda-dilane Lahore is facing.

Useless Drill....Yet Again

Just after three hours & fifteen minutes we are going to repeat our useless drill of changing the time according to day light saving system. Last year it was openly accepted by our government that they were not able to achieve what they had planned for. And it was said that people are to learn from their past failures.

Aren't we getting better day by day at proving these statements as non applicable????

Irritation to the CORE

As if the fake accents of the VJs was not enough. To add to this misery, ZONG (the most failed telco in my viewpoint) planned to torment the listeners by its latest jingle. Don't know from where they got the money to get this huge chunk of the air time on the FM, be it 89,91 or 106.2.

For the last week there was some problem with my mp4 so I had to rely on the above mentioned three stations for my travel time(to & from my university) & my walk sessions during load shedding hours. It was outright irritating, after every 2 to 3min (believe me I am not stretching) their jingle would be played. Although I am a person who can listen to a song a 100 times over n over again but even I just lost it.

Their marketing team needs to get kicked out.
